Birthday Boys!

We had a great weekend celebrating Josh and Cooper's birthdays!  Cooper's was on Thursday the 29th, so he started it off with bringing cookies to school.  Then the Leggetts came over to celebrate with a pizza party that night.  Then Grammy and Gramps came to visit for the weekend.  We had a great time celebrating Josh and Cooper, but were quite exhausted by the end of the weekend!  Just this past weekend, we had Cooper's party with his friends.  It's been a whirlwind!!!  Here are some pics...

We'll start with some pics of Emma.  She's doing great with the crawling.  She's been so easy and content since she's been able to have a little more freedom.  Still have to watch her pretty close as she likes to taste everything!!!!

THE BIRTHDAY BOY!!!
(Thanks Casey & Marc for the card with the sticker in it, he wore it all day at school!)

Coopie and Gumma!

Cooper giving Gramma Ali some thankyou hugs!  Cooper was very cute opening all of his gifts.  He is very animated and gets excited with all of them.  He especially loved all of the cards.  It was very cute.

Thanks Kristi, Peter and Janet for the Angry Birds blanket!!!

And a very special gift from Gogo and Gumma, Uncle Chandler's cape from when he was little!  Don't worry Uncle Chan, we'll take good care of it!

LEGOS!  (Let's hope these stay out of Emma's mouth!)

Visit from Grammy!!!!

Making cards for Daddy

Cooper was very good at letting Isabel help to open his presents.  (Notice the red ear?  That's a dead give away that Cooper is exhausted!)

More Grammy and Emma time!

Ummmm...have you ever seen anything so cute?  First time we put Emma's hair in elastics.  It was adorable!

That's a lot of pigtails!

Decorating Easter eggs!

Just a funny picture!

Daddy's turn!

Here's Gramps!  Sorry, his eyes are closed, we'll have to get him in more pictures next time!

Cooper his first sleep over this past Friday with his buddy Camden.  Cam's pretty much grown up here at the house (and he's the youngest of 3, so he know's all about sleepovers) so I knew he wouldn't have any trouble.

We were very nervous about how Isabel was going to feel not sleeping with the boys, and yup, come bed time, she wanted to sleep in Cooper's room.  Fortunately for us, Cooper very graciously replied, "That's okay Isabel!"  All in all, they did really well, it took about 45 minutes of Mommy sitting in the room with them, but by shortly after 9pm all 3 were asleep!

The next morning we had Cooper's friend party.  Being that it was the day before Easter, we had a egg hunt outside and of course, an egg birthday cake!

Cooper and his buddy Drew.

The kids were all very good and it was a fun, and surprisingly easy party!

Patrick Wedding

I'm SO behind with all of my pictures and blog posts!  My goal is to catch up this week before Easter when I'll have more photos to add!  A few weeks ago we travelled down to North Carolina for Josh's cousins wedding.  While it was a quick whirlwind of a weekend, we had a blast.  We always enjoy any time we get to spend with the Quinns.  The kids have so much fun with their cousins!  It was also a special weekend as Isabel was the flower girl and Jackson was the ring bearer.  They were the cutest things ever.  Jackson definitely fulfilled his duties better than Isabel, as she got to the top of the aisle, stomped her feet three times and yelled "NO!"  She was not moving!  So Daddy tapped into his flower girl experience and walked Isabel down the aisle, tossing rose petals like a pro!  While she did get stage fright, she was adorable and had a great time.  I'll save some time and just post the pics without captions.  Enjoy!

One tired flower girl!

And she's off...

Well, slowly at least!  Emma's been teetering on the brink of crawling for a while now, and last night finally made her first forward progress!  It started off slowly (and quite frustrating) as you will see in the first (kind of boring video), but it always amazes me how quickly they pick it up.  This was literally right before Emma went to bed, so we'll see what she does today!

Sorry, a couple of these are a little boring, but this has literally been our week.  Watching Emma get into position and then sit back down!

Thank goodness for remote controls!

Spring/Summer Preview!

Between the awesome weather we've been having and finally having a free weekend at home, this past weekend was filled with a lot of good family time.  Friday started off with the girls having story time.  Then on Saturday we did some yard work, then Josh took the kids to the putting green, then we all went up to deer camp to celebrate St. Patty's day with some of the Leggetts.  Then Sunday, Cooper got to go to a friends house for the morning, and Isabel had her first play date.  She invited Sarah ("Sawah" in Isabel language) over to play.  Emma took a good long nap in the morning so I got to spend some fun time with the 2 girls.  They had a blast and got along so well.  It was really fun to see Isabel playing with her own friend and not just one of Cooper's!  Meanwhile, Josh got to play 18 holes before lunch.  After naps, the whole family went to the golf course.  Emma in stroller, and the two big kids in the cart.  It was quite an ordeal, but very fun.   Hard to believe it's still March!!!

My almost 5 year old!!!

Story time

Who's the cutest?  Emma is now getting into crawling position frequently, but has yet to make forward motion.  When that happens, not sure how I'm going to handle it!

The whole fam at the golf course.  Josh was at the bar buying us beer during this picture.  We thought we might need them...

Cooper has not lost interest in golf at all since he started to love it about 2 years ago.  He had been talking about going to the golf course constantly for a week when Josh first mentioned the possibility that the course would open early.  He actually did really well and has pretty good endurance.  We made it through 4 holes, but Cooper definitely could've done more.  Next time we'll let the boys go.  I think the girls just slowed them down!

Emma was awesome in her stroller.  She was fairly content as long as she had a saltine or bottle in hand. She went through about half a sleeve of saltines!!!  And sadly, this is the last picture of this bottle that you'll ever see.  It got dropped on the golf course at some point.  Won't that be quite a find for some random golfer out there!

And here she is!  Isabel didn't have quite as much interest in golfing, but loved to be outside and ride in the cart.  Her favorite thing was playing in and raking the sand traps.  She did manage to swing the club a few times, and looked awfully cute doing it!

Long time no see!

Sorry all for the lack of posts since Christmas.  It's not that we haven't had much going on, in fact, it's been the opposite, and with Josh at class two nights a week I just haven't had the energy to sit down at the computer and update the blog.  I will hopefully do that soon, but in the meantime here are some pictures from 2 weeks ago.  We wanted to capture pictures of Emma in the dress that my mom, myself, and Isabel were photographed in.  Of course, we tried to get a nice picture of the 3 kids which was VERY challenging and extremely frustrating.  Really hard to get those 3 to all smile a nice smile at the same time!  Here's what we ended up with:

I had to put these pictures side by side.  This is Emma and Gumma (Carolyn).  Pretty amazing similiarity (Emma's hair is usually as puffy as Gumma's was, but was 'tamed' for the photo shoot)!

Too bad Emma wasn't in this one, it was the best of the 2 older rascals.

This was my favorite of the kids pictures together.  Despite Isabel's forced smile.  This picture was also the last picture taken as 2 seconds after this, Emma fell off Cooper's back flat on her face and that was the end of the photo shoot!
